Our Tampines Hub's Festive Arts Theatre hosted a soul-stirring evening of nostalgia and timeless classics as part of the Echo Music Series: A Tribute to Su Rui & Chang Yu Sheng. The concert brought cherished memories to life with heartfelt melodies that captivated music lovers across generations.
Talented local vocalists Yang Qianhong (杨千荭) and Xu Guangli (徐广利) took the stage to deliver powerful and moving renditions of the greatest hits by legendary icons Su Rui and Chang Yu Sheng. The audience sang along to enduring musical gems, celebrating the legacy of these iconic artists.
Live Band Performance
The evening featured a full live band, with Marshall amplifiers powering electric guitars and a drum kit that drove the energetic performances. A three-person ensemble, including a singer, bassist, and keyboardist, delivered a rich and immersive musical experience on stage.
One poignant moment highlighted the lyric "多少次我忍住眼泪，只是为了告诉自己我不在乎" ("How many times have I held back my tears, just to tell myself I don't care."), resonating deeply with the audience and underscoring the emotional depth of the tribute.
Our Tampines Hub extends a heartfelt thank you to the performers, the organizing team, and every audience member who joined to celebrate these timeless musical treasures.
